I think I’m in love

You know you really want something when you get out of bed in the morning and it’s the first thing you think about, right?  Well I woke up thinking about Martha Stewart’s Glitter Market Sets this morning.

There are two sets.  A warm spectrum set and a cool spectrum set.  I have had the cool set for about a year now and I just recently really started playing with it.  Since then I’ve been thinking nonstop about the warm spectrum set.  I couldn’t wait to get my fingers wrapped around those warm colored markers.  So much so that I made a special trip to Walmart on my way to work this morning to snag them.

At $10 a set they might seem pretty pricey.  Each set has 5 markers, so that comes to $2 a piece.  Which in turn doesn’t sound so bad after all.

The cool spectrum set comes in the following colors:  silver, green, purple, blue and indigo.

The warm spectrum colors are:  pink, red, orange, gold and yellow.

If you love glitter and sparkle you won’t be able to help yourself, you WILL love these markers.  They have so much shimmer and shine.  They are great for coloring in stamped images or adding a little sparkle to a card or scrapbook page.

To use them you have to shake them well.  Then you depress the point on a piece of scrap paper until the ink starts flowing.  The box stresses that you should not pump the point.  They were kind of like a paint pen in that way.

The tip is 1mm.  I wouldn’t call this a fine point.  The ink does seem to flow out pretty heavily.  What I do is start the ink flowing on a piece of scrap paper and then move to the project I’m working on.  This has worked great so far.

So overall, it’s my opinion that if you love adding some glitz to your craft projects you will enjoy using these markers.  The amount of shimmer they add to a project is incredible!

Thanks for the review on the Martha Stewart pens. I was a bit skeptical. I will go purchase those pens for myself now!
