Woohoo

November.30.2009

My iphone is at my house.  I need to go home now!  How am I supposed to work the rest of the day knowing that box is sitting there waiting for me to rip into it???

So excited

November.27.2009

Well, guess what I ordered today?  An iPhone!  Okay, so I’m very excited.  It’s refurbished, but I saved $150.  That’s cool, right?

Oh and guess what else I got?  Some Copic markers.  Great deals at Taylored Expressions for Black Friday.

Yeah, I’m excited.

A Scrapbook Page

November.24.2009

I have had close to zero motivation to make anything lately.  I was starting to think I was burnt out.

My crafty friend Katy shared this blog with me last week called Scrap and Stamp.  It sure looks like they have some great challenges.  I just loved the sketch they have on their right now, so I decided to try it.

I didn’t realize just how many products I used to make this page until I started to write them down!  But I guess that’s how it always is.

DP:  BasicGrey Archaic Collection
Border & Alphabet Stickers:  BasicGrey Archaic Collection
Chipboard Alphabet Stickers:  BasicGrey Archaic Chip Stickers
Arrow Stamp:  Unity July 09 Kit of the Month
Smile Stamp:  Autumn Leaves Everyday Sentiments
Paisley Background Stamp:  Autumn Leaves Block Stamps 2
Worn Grid Stamp:  Unity Stamp Co.
Inks:  Antique Linen and Spiced Marmalade Tim Holtz Distress Inks, Black ColorBox Pigment Ink, Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, VersaMark
Other:  Antique Linen Tim Holtz Distressing Powder

Some of my friends have been wondering what the distressing powder is like.  Well, you apply it just like you would embossing powder.  After you heat set it, you let it cool.  Then you take your finger and rub it, as if you were sanding it.  It ends up with an interesting rough finish.  It’s best if you use a stamp without a lot of detail with it, in my opinion.  Here’s a close up of where I used it on this project:

Where am I?

November.20.2009

Little blog, I’ve been neglecting you.  Just so you know, I’ve been thinking of you.  Here’s a card:

Guess Whoo

Forgive me if I’m wrong, but I believe all the stamps used on this card are by Studio G.  You have to see the inside too!

Random thought for the day:  Nothing stinks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you’re wrong.

Another Christmas Card

November.11.2009

I have another card to share with you.  I did this one a while ago.  The stamps are from Inkadinkado.  Very cool and intricate stamps.

Joy to the World

I got this gold holographic embossing powder and I just don’t know what to do with the stuff.  It worked pretty well for the angel image.

Joy Closeup

My mother-in-law sent me an email with some funny random thoughts.  I thought they were cute so I am going to share them with you over my next couple posts.  🙂

Random thought of the day:  I think part of a best friend’s job should be to immediately clear your computer history if you die.

I made this card several nights ago.

It struck me that something was wrong with it, but I didn’t know what.

Hmmm….

My turkey breast has nipples!

Oh my!

I have a card to share this week!  I even used paper piecing!  This was my first time doing the whole paper piecing thing.  Really quite fun.  Oh, and I sewed on this card!  Wow, I’m impressing myself. 😉
