If you arrived here from Joni’s blog you are on the right track.  If not, go back to the Paper Maniac Store blog.

I’m so happy to be able to participate in The Paper Maniac Magical Mystery Blog Hop.

I have run into a lot of road bumps on the way to publishing this post.

First I seemed to have run out of creativity right before I started on this project.

Then I finally got something made and my camera battery died.

I cannot find my charger ANYWHERE!  That is bothering me.

So please pardon my dark iPhone photographs.

It’s the best I could do.

The song I chose for inspiration for my card is “Here Comes The Sun.”

The weather here in South Central Pennsylvania has been bitter cold lately.

Two Sunday’s in a row we had pouring rains all day.

Miserable.

Days when you should be staying inside and keeping cozy.

I am ready for some sunshine!

Here is a list of the products I used:

Recollections White Cardstock (but can I just say, if you are looking for an awesome cardstock try this by American Crafts…it has a beautiful texture.  I have this pack and just LOVE it.)

Cosmo Cricket Earth Love Pattern Papers

Labels 4 Nestabilities

Tim Holtz Walnut Stain Distress Ink

K&Co. Rub-On

Unity Stamp Co.  July 2009 KOTM

Did you all have a nice weekend?

I had to work Saturday, so it was just so so.

I did have time to make a card…but that was back on Friday night.

Just using some more Earth love paper and enjoying some Papertrey Ink stamps.

I didn’t really care for this card at first.

That’s why I didn’t post it right away.

The more I look at it the better I like it though.

Oh yeah, I made a couple bookmarks too.

I saw this idea in the Papertrey Ink newsletter on Friday.

Quick & simple!

Do you want to know what else I did this weekend?

I finally got started organizing my craft room!

I spent all day transferring my clear and cling back stamps to cd cases.

The binders were just not cutting it.

I think I have it all done, except for one set of Hero Arts stamps that I was using recently.

They must be hiding on my desk somewhere!

I love you Friday

January.22.2010

Wow, it has been a long time since I have joined in on the Friday fun.

I don’t use black on cards very often.  But I had this cool black paper in my stash and finally decided to use it.  I stamped the tree from Growing in Unity in black and then colored the background with my brand new Copic markers (love them!)  Then I covered the whole image with Tim Holtz Hard Candy Crackle Paint.  It turned out pretty cool.  Let me show you a close-up.

Isn’t that cool?

I Love Earth Love

January.21.2010

I was talking to my crafty internet friend, Katy early today.

I gave her an assignment.  I told her she either had to make a baby card using her Basic Grey chipboard stickers or she could make a Valentine.

Haha.

I’m the boss.

She told me I had to make a birthday card and I had to use my Cosmo Cricket Earth Love paper pack.  I wanted it soooo bad, then I got it for Christmas and hadn’t opened it before tonight.

When I was blog surfing today I saw a sketch challenge over on the Limelight blog.  They were also trying to get everyone to incorporate canvas into their projects.

So here’s what I made:

I cut that piece of Ranger sticky-back canvas out with my handy Cuttlebug and the Label 4 Nesties.  Then I inked it up with some Tim Holtz Antique Linen Distress ink.

After that I stamped the border with a Waltzingmouse stamp using some new Papertrey Ink ink that I just got today.  I love it!  Then I stamped the flower image from Unity Stamp Co. with some brown Memento ink.  I colored the little leaves in with a Copic marker.  It bled a little bit, but you can’t really tell.

The sentiment is from Through the Trees by Papertrey Ink (I HAD to play with my new toys!)

As I did in the last card I shared, I put a sentiment inside this one too.  I stamped the Unity flower again and then added a sentiment from Mega Mixed Messages by Papertrey Ink.

Just so you know, I love this card!  LOL  Aren’t the colors so calm and soothing?

URA*

January.20.2010

I got a magazine in the mail last night that had some easy valentine’s for kids to make.

One was a robot and it was saying URA*.

I thought that was pretty cute and immediately decided I wanted to make a card with that phrase.

Star stamps are by Unity Stamp Co. and the border is from Gina K.

Don’t laugh at me.

I got some fun flock for Christmas and really wanted to try it, BUT I didn’t have any adhesive to use other than my glue dot roller.

So that’s what I used.  It’s on the bottom stamped star.

It doesn’t look terrible.

Did you ever notice I rarely show you the insides of my cards?

That is because I don’t usually put anything inside until I’m ready to give it to someone.

This time I added a sentiment though.

Well I’m off to wait until my man is done playing video games so I can watch American Idol.

I still love that show!

I made 3 cards today!

I don’t like this one.  Something about it, it’s just not my style.

I like this one a little better.

Maybe because it is blue.

I like blue.

I have the image on the next card stamped for months.

Just couldn’t figure out what to do with it.

I put Glossy Accents on the vases.  Don’t they look cool.

Wow, more cards today!

January.16.2010

I have some more cards to show you today.

I made 2 this afternoon, the other is from right after Christmas.

But I never showed it to you before.

Here is the “old” new one.  This is the first sympathy card I have ever made.

The next 2 I used my newest Lizzie Anne Designs monthly mix stamps on.

I had the idea for this card in my head, but it did not turn out quite the way I was picturing it.

Here’s another card with the love birds.

I wish you could see the shimmer on that cloud paper.  Here’s a close-up.

Hope you enjoyed!
