URA*

January.20.2010

I got a magazine in the mail last night that had some easy valentine’s for kids to make.

One was a robot and it was saying URA*.

I thought that was pretty cute and immediately decided I wanted to make a card with that phrase.

Star stamps are by Unity Stamp Co. and the border is from Gina K.

Don’t laugh at me.

I got some fun flock for Christmas and really wanted to try it, BUT I didn’t have any adhesive to use other than my glue dot roller.

So that’s what I used.  It’s on the bottom stamped star.

It doesn’t look terrible.

Did you ever notice I rarely show you the insides of my cards?

That is because I don’t usually put anything inside until I’m ready to give it to someone.

This time I added a sentiment though.

Well I’m off to wait until my man is done playing video games so I can watch American Idol.

I still love that show!

Wow, more cards today!

January.16.2010

I have some more cards to show you today.

I made 2 this afternoon, the other is from right after Christmas.

But I never showed it to you before.

Here is the “old” new one.  This is the first sympathy card I have ever made.

The next 2 I used my newest Lizzie Anne Designs monthly mix stamps on.

I had the idea for this card in my head, but it did not turn out quite the way I was picturing it.

Here’s another card with the love birds.

I wish you could see the shimmer on that cloud paper.  Here’s a close-up.

Hope you enjoyed!

A CardPatterns Sketch

December.3.2009

I don’t know if I got this done in time or not, but I’ll post it anyway.

Wow, I was on a card making roll last night!  I made all these (+ one) before I went to choir practice.  Didn’t know I could make them that fast!  I was trying to get some use out of my American Crafts paper.  Which one do you like best?  I like the one with the cork letter stickers.Scalloped Blessings

Ho Ho Ho

Tis Christmas

So I had a little shopping spree over the weekend.  I guess I have to start my project count over again.  😦  I didn’t think I’d be able to do it.  Especially at this time of year.

I did make something with some of the new goodies I got, this Christmas card:

Puffy Christmas

See that cute puffy white sticker?  That’s by Me and My Big Ideas.  Isn’t it cute?   I got a whole sheet of those.  I’ve never seen anything like them before.  I love them!

Project #03 & #04

October.27.2009

I have two more projects to share that go toward my goal of 25.

Project #03

Project #04

Unity Love (Project #02)

October.27.2009

I noticed I haven’t been using my Unity stamps too much lately.  So over the weekend I decided to give them some love.

Happy

All the paper on this card is from American Crafts.  Oh yeah, the ribbon is too!  I’ll show you a close up of the stamped images.  For the sentiment I used my Martha Stewart Glitter Markers to actually color the word “happy” on the stamp and then stamped it again on white cardstock and drew some shadow lines with my black gel pen.  I then popped this up from the original black stamped (Memento Tuxedo Black) sentiment.

Happy Glitter

I just love that shimmer!

Did I tell you all that I challenged myself to make 25 projects before I buy any new product?  Well this is project #02 toward that goal.  The first one was the LAD challenge card I shared over the weekend.  I am seriously going to work hard to make that many projects before I spend money.  I am tempted by the Michael’s store that is close by every day!
