I’ve been busy

February.12.2010

Did you think I got buried in snow during the “Blizzard of 2010?”

I wish I would have got some pictures.

It’s the first time I remember the snow being up to my waist!

But I didn’t venture outside all that much.

I spent most of the time in my scrapbook room.  Yay!

Let’s start with this set.

I have a huge pack of DCWV Rock-N-Roll themed paper that I have no idea why I purchased.

Probably on clearance.

Anyway, I made all three of these cards out of a single sheet of paper.

Added some stamps with white ink, a little bling and some white gel pen stitching and voila!

I have no idea what I’ll do with these but I did use up some paper.

Here’s another one I made.

You can’t really see it in the picture, but I used Unity’s Distressed Music background stamp on the kraft paper.

It looks so cool.

Lastly, I have a man card to share!

I hate making cards for men.

I think it’s because I like to add all kinds of frilly, girlie things to my cards.

It’s too hard to keep it clean and simple.  LOL!

Hooray for Friday

October.23.2009

I love Friday’s, don’t you?  I can’t wait to sleep in this weekend (even if it’s for a little bit).  Then I have Monday off, so I’m going to try to finish making my Christmas cards.  What is wrong with me this year?  I am never this ambitious.  So, to show you that I’m telling the truth I’ll share this Christmas card with you:

Christmas Sewn Strips

LOL yes I’ve been playing with the sewing machine lately.  Doesn’t look very professional, does it?

There’s a closeup of the beautiful journal block from Unity Stamp Co.  I stamped a sentiment (from Papertrey Inks) in the middle, sponged some Antique Linen Distress Ink around the outside and added a little blue gem.  The pattern paper is from My Minds Eye and the ribbon is from Michael’s.  Hope you like it!

Christmas Flower

October.19.2009

Here’s a little card I made a couple of weeks ago:

Christmas Flower

Christmas Flower

I started this card by stamping the flourish from the Fancy Pants Fresh Mod Set.  I highlighted the ends with a little bit of green Martha Stewart Glitter Marker.  I wanted to add some texture to the flower so I stamped this Autumn Leaves flower stamp three times on pattern paper and used a little adhesive to stick them together.  I put a dab of Distress Stickles in the middle of the flower to accent it a little.  The sentiment is from Papertrey Inks.  Then I doodled around the outside of the stamped area.  I can’t remember where the card base is from (sorry!)

Christmas is coming!

October.8.2009

It’s never too early to get started on Christmas cards, is it?  Well….I have got a TON to share with you…or is it ten?  One of those anyway.  How we look at half of those now?

First up:

Peace & Goodwill

Peace & Goodwill

This is one of the very few all stamping cards I’ve ever made.  This is a combo of Inkadinkado, Fancy Pants, and Papertrey Inks stamps.  Oh yeah, there is a little glitter marker coloring too!

Let’s look at another.

Santa's Sleigh

Santa's Sleigh

Here’s a little card I made to enter in the Unity Bro Challenge, but I changed my mind and didn’t enter it.  The ribbon is supposed to be the plaid if you were wondering.  Want to see it closer?

Okay that one I am not very fond of, so let us move on.

Holly Glitter

Holly Glitter

Oh this was a quick and easy one.  The glittery holly is a glitter rub-on from K& Co.  I used my Cricut to cut the scalloped square out of some red cardstock and then just popped it off the card base.  Still cute though, isn’t it?

Do you like clean & simple cards?  How about this one then?

Clean Tree

Oops, somebody wrinkled her card before she took the picture.  Well, you can see how cute it was anyway! 😉

Okay one more and then I’ll be done for today.  I promise.

Merry Christmas Ornaments

Merry Christmas Ornaments

I have a ton of these card bases left from a couple years ago and I really need to use them.  The little ornament stamp is from A Muse and the sentiment is from Papertrey Inks (did I mention that I love this Signature Christmas line?)

Which one do you like the best so far?  Don’t forget I still have more to share!
